Adriel Burley
Project Manager of Townsville Suicide Prevention Network

Adriel has a wealth of experience from around North Queensland and Western Australia, and has a broad and active passion for suicide prevention. Adriel is the Project Manager of the Townsville Suicide Prevention Network and came to this role following a career in education, residential care, and consulting in the not-for-profit sector.
Adriel is excited to be a part of the Fellowship - an unparalleled opportunity to learn and collaborate. Adriel’s focus is suicide prevention, an area undergoing a paradigm shift in recent times with systems approaches gaining pace around the nation, critically linked with policy reform. Adriel is keen to look at ways that suicide prevention can evolve with its further inclusion of lived experience, building of peer support initiatives and workforce development. Understanding systems improvement combined with a community development approach will sustain suicide prevention, intervention and postvention as a public health issue.
