Manages clinical and therapeutic services for a youth homelessness service
Simone currently manages clinical and therapeutic services Frontyard Youth Services. She has a particular interest in using sensorimotor psychotherapy and animal assisted therapy to engage creatively with survivors of complex trauma, and believes these strategies help harness the opportunities for continued neurodevelopment during adolescence.
Simone's focus is supporting her teams to contribute to ending youth homelessness by working alongside young people in a recovery-orientated way to help maximise their potential and support them in reaching their goals. She plans to use the skills and experience she gains from the Fellowship to advocate for better equity and access to improved mental health outcomes for young people experiencing homelessness and poor mental health.
