Angela Gosden
Administration manager with South Australian police and an accredited instructor of Mental Health First Aid

Angela became interested in mental health and wellbeing having worked with South Australian Police undertaking human resource and injury management functions for front line police since 2000. Residing in a rural area of South Australia she is aware of the stigma and difficulties faced by country people trying to access help for mental health problems. In May 2018, Angela trained to become an accredited instructor of Mental Health First Aid (MHFA). Since that time, she has delivered MHFA courses to individuals, community groups and workplaces and has upskilled to deliver different versions of the course. In March 2019, Angela was appointed to the SA Mental Health Commission Community Advisory Committee and she is a current volunteer on the Wattle Range Suicide Prevention Network. She hopes to expand her knowledge and leadership capacity whilst undertaking the Fellowship and share her learnings in her workplace and community networks.
