Accredited Mental Health Social Worker at Robinvale District Health Services and also in private practice.
Sue lives in rural New South Wales and works in Victoria. Whilst obtaining a university degree in business, she was offered the opportunity to apply for a financial counselling position, which altered her study dramatically and ended with her completing a Bachelor of Social Work. Further study with a Master of Social Work with mental health subjects saw her venture from a generalist social work position into a mental health clinician at the local mental health services. This has led to the Community Wellbeing position, recognition as an Accredited Mental Health Social worker as well as Sue commencing in private practice. Through her work, Sue continues to challenge the stigma which is often faced in the community and hopes that through this exciting opportunity that the Fellowship provides, to explore contemporary evidence-based mental health practice and theories on a number of levels, bringing these back into the communities in which she works.
