Mental Health Report Card on Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Mental Health and Social and Emotional Wellbeing

This 2013 report provides detail behind the wider story of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples and how this impacts and influences their mental health and wellbeing.

This report is a supplementary paper for our 2012 National Report Card on Mental Health and Suicide Prevention and tells a fictional story that reflects the diversity of the journey of different communities and generations.

This report highlights that improving the mental wellbeing of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities should be prioritised by including mental health as an additional target in the ‘Closing the Gap’ program.

The report was released on National Close the Gap Day 2013.
