Black Dog Institute | Four Black Dog Institute LifeSpan trial sites have been implemented in New South Wales. LifeSpan combines nine strategies that have strong evidence for suicide prevention into one community-led approach incorporating health, education, frontline services, business and the community. The Australian Government has funded a summative analysis of the evaluations of the Victorian, LifeSpan in New South Wales and Australian Government suicide prevention trial sites. The evaluation of the LifeSpan trial in New South Wales will involve comparing rates of suicide deaths and attempts before and after the introduction of the model in each region and between regions. Primary outcomes of the trial will be available in 2022, and secondary outcomes in 2023. |
