Ms Jennifer Muir

Ms Jennifer Muir is Principal Adviser, Engagement and Communication at the Commission, joining in July 2020. Prior to this she was Chief Counsel at Primary Communication (2007-2020) leading national strategic communication, advocacy and engagement programs. Her portfolio expertise was in complex social issues impacting women and children’s safety and rights, mental health and wellbeing, press freedom, education and learning.

She is currently a Council member with the ASEAN Public Relations Network for the Global Alliance for Public Relations and Communication Management, and was the National President and Board member of the Public Relations Institute of Australia from 2016-2018. Jennifer has provided strategic communication and engagement advice to INGOs working in conflict zones globally, and began her career as a news producer in Australia and across AsiaPac. Jennifer is a Fellow of the Public Relations Institute of Australia.
