Katie has been working in social services for nine years with experience in service delivery and corporate/strategic roles in child and family welfare, family violence, homelessness and mental health. Her current role is Manager of Innovation and Projects at Neami National.
Katie is committed to the development of service design and innovation that supports better access and outcomes for people experiencing mental health challenges, particularly those within vulnerable or marginalised populations. She works from a social justice and human rights perspective incorporating lived experiences of LGBTIQ identity and mental health challenges.
Katie is committed to contributing to better mental health outcomes in the community through systemic changes. She believes that effective leadership in mental health is about taking the opportunity to engage with and listen to the experiences and needs of service users. She seeks to form these into structured frameworks and strategies that are deliverable, measured and valued/supported by Executive leadership.
