With a commitment to lifelong learning, an appreciation for knowledge translation, and dedication to professional network growth (including cross-industry leaders) and the capacity to self-reflect, influence and drive positive change, Brent applies his skillset within his current role as Head of Mental Health & Wellbeing at the AFL Players’ Association. This role provides Brent with a unique platform to demonstrate mental health leadership within the areas of research, policy development, advocacy, best-practice, evidence-based programs and player-focussed services, and AFL industry education. Brent also leads outcomes for the AFL industry across a broad scope of initiatives. These initiatives are typically aimed at not only improving the mental health outcomes of past, present and future elite athletes and industry stakeholders but to extend driving improved mental health outcomes for the broader Australian community though leveraging the public profile that AFL possesses within the country.
