Cathy Ngo
Specialist Mental Health Pharmacist and Project/Research Pharmacist

Cathy has over 15 years’ experience as a pharmacist in public health care with expertise in caring for and improving the experiences of people facing mental health challenges. She has managed various workforce and service delivery improvements projects at Eastern Health, focused on enhancing the scope of practice of clinical pharmacists, improving medication safety and supporting the organisational transition to an Electronic Medical Record. She is passionate about giving people and their carers the opportunity and safe space to ask questions about medicines, improving mental health literacy and cardio-metabolic health outcomes of people taking psychotropic medicines. Cathy believes mental health reform requires a multi-faceted approach, including changing public conversation, building an evidence based health service, and valuing the person and their support network in this process. She believes this is best achieved with a diversity of people in leadership roles.
