She is passionate about doctors’ mental health, the healthcare of people with mental ill-health and in improving the healthcare system as a whole. Her background comprised work in emergency medicine both in Australia and overseas and experience in medical administration.
Sandy is a graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors and on the Boards of both the Doctors’ Health Advisory Services NSW and the Australian Medical Association NSW. She set up the Health and Wellbeing website for junior doctors and in 2017 Sandy organised the Doctors’ Health Conference on behalf of the Australasian Doctors’ Health Network.
