Mental health peer worker with Flourish Australia and Northern Sydney Local Health District
Wendy currently works for Flourish Australia and Northern Sydney Local Health District (NSLHD) as a mental health peer worker. She has an undergraduate degree in Arts (Criminology) from Macquarie University and is currently completing her Graduate Diploma in Health Policy at the University of Sydney. She has consulted on and co-designed various policies and services including sensory modulation equipment and facilities in inpatient units, a new Personality Disorders Service Framework for NSLHD and policies to reduce seclusion and restraint in mental health and emergency settings. Wendy is passionate about systemic and cultural change surrounding mental health, and the building of healthier populations and communities. She looks forward to meeting people from different locations, perspectives and experiences in the hope of collaboration and working towards a similar goal.
