In our first Report Card we made a commitment to a regular and independent qualitative survey of people with mental health difficulties and their families and support people.
The survey will consider access to services, as well as perceptions and experiences. It will build on and complement existing efforts and ensure that people always have a voice and remain at the centre of decision-making about the services that impact on them.
Work on the National Contributing Life Project began early this year. To date:
- Craze Lateral Solutions has been engaged to research, consult on and develop the National Contributing Life methodology. To find out about what work is underway, the next steps and how you can get involved, read the Project Update (April 2013), available on our website.
- As part of the next stage of the project, they are now seeking your feedback and comment to inform the survey development and methodology. There are a number of ways you can provide feedback to the project leads, Leanne and Ross Craze.
- A Project Advisory Group (PAG) has been established to provide expert advice to inform the project’s direction. The PAG, co-chaired by Commissioners Janet Meagher and Jackie Crowe, met for the first time on 20 March, 2013.
