Communique - 3rd National Aboriginal Health Summit

David Butt, CEO of the National Mental Health Commission had the opportunity to present the National Review of Mental Health Programmes and Services to more than 100 delegates at the 3rd National Aboriginal Health Summit in Darwin on Friday 31 July.  In his presentation, Mr Butt highlighted what this means for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples mental health and social and emotional wellbeing.  Co-hosted by the Aboriginal Medical Service Alliance NT and NT Government, the Communique from the Summit is now available.

The Communique proposes a set of recommendations to improve Aboriginal health outcomes and close the gap between Aboriginal and non-Aboriginal people.
