In this update, I have included some information on the recent draft Productivity Commission Report on Mental Health, with long-term mental health reform being central to the report recommendations.
You will also see below an update on the Connections Project and Vision 2030 for Mental Health and Suicide Prevention, as well as an introduction to our new website following feedback from you.
I would like to say a very warm welcome to the Fourth Cohort of the Australian Mental Health Leaders Fellowship.
With so much work being done to look at how we can future proof our mental health system, we must also ensure we are developing our workforce and supporting mental health leaders of the future.
I have been inspired by the project and innovative ideas shared by the first three cohorts and look forward to working with this new group of participants. Meet the Fourth Cohort of the Fellowship here.
Well wishes,
Christine Morgan
Chief Executive Officer
Connections Project Update
We are delighted to share a Connections Project video with you that we developed with Health Leader TV. We are grateful to the Town Hall attendees featured for sharing their reflections on the process in this video.
You can also read an article I wrote recently for Health Voices, Journal of the Consumers Health Forum of Australia.
If you haven't already, please visit our Connections webpage to browse snapshot reports from the community meetings across the country. Feedback from these meetings, as well as the thousands of insights shared through our online survey will inform the Vision 2030 for Mental Health and Suicide Prevention, due to be presented to Government before the end of this year.
