The National Report Card 2025: Environmental Scan helps to contextualise the data in the upcoming National Report Card 2025, which reports on how Australia’s mental health system is performing.

The scan shows that supporting and improving mental health outcomes is not achieved through the health system alone. A planned, prevention-focused approach is needed. This must be across many sectors and all levels of government.
